Keith Lee is applying to Streamer University.
As AFROTECH™ previously reported, Streamer University, the brainchild of streamer and top creator Kai Cenat, will return for its second year. The live-streamed experience, which takes place on a college campus — last year at The University of Akron — welcomes creators of all audience sizes to not only create content, either individually or collaboratively, but also to learn from established creators.
Last year, more than 1 million people applied to attend the university, and more than 120 were selected, according to AFROTECH™. Participants received assistance covering the cost of flights, housing, and technology needed to stream 24/7.
2026 applications are now live, and students, professors, and club directors are encouraged to apply. Food critic Keith Lee is among the creators who have submitted an application. He is looking to apply for the position of club director. He has 17.4 million followers on TikTok alone with a following that has grown due to a consistent presence that amplifies small businesses.
Among the many entrepreneurs to have benefited from the Keith Lee effect is Soul Prime Founder Shonya “Chef Royce” Williams, who was struggling to pay staff until Lee’s review, which garnered more than 9 million views at the time. Also, The Puddery Founder Janel Prator experienced slow foot traffic, and her business has since expanded following a Lee review.
Lee recently hosted his inaugural FamiLee Day in New Orleans on May 16, bringing people together for live entertainment and good eats from various food vendors, including small businesses featured on his social platforms.

He shared that Streamer University would be another vessel to champion his efforts to amplify small businesses while educating the next generation of creators looking to make an impact.

“I know a lot of people do food content that stream, and this is a way I can use the experience that I’ve gained for the last four or five years from eating food full-time, to teach how to do it and not be an a–hole about it,” he said.
Lee’s course would also educate people on why it is important to keep family and other loved ones close as they become successful, and for people of faith, it would support them in keeping God a priority.
