TMZ reports the rapper is launching Project HEAL, a philanthropic undertaking that will pour $5 million into Travis Scott’s areas of interest where he wants to create change. This will include $1 million to support scholarships for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Travis Scott’s commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) is paying off! Billboard reports that the “Pick Up The Phone” rapper has been awarded for his philanthropic efforts of assisting students at HBCUs. He is one of five recipients to receive the honor at the Red Carpet Advocacy (RAD) impact awards, which aims to highlight those who “inspire purpose,” according to Billboard. The Houston native just announced the launch in conjunction with Houston’s third annual Travis Scott Day, created to celebrate the rapper’s contributions to the city that raised him along with his successful Astroworld Festival. The foundation has agreed to a multi-year partnership with the New School’s Parsons School of Design along with the city of Houston, according to Complex.
